SVG to JPG Converter
Convert SVG files or pasted SVG code to JPG at any width or scale, with your choice of background colour and quality. Runs entirely in your browser.
SVG is ideal for logos and icons on the web, but social networks, office documents, marketplaces and print shops often want a JPG. This converter renders your SVG at the width or scale you choose, fills the background (JPG has no transparency) and saves a JPG at the quality you set. Upload files or paste the code; nothing leaves your browser.
How to use this tool
- Choose one or more .svg files, or paste SVG code into the box.
- Enter an output width in pixels, or leave it empty and pick a scale (1× is the SVG's own size).
- Set the background colour, white by default, and the JPG quality.
- Convert and download each JPG, or all of them as a ZIP.
Formula
output height = output width × SVG height ÷ SVG width
The SVG's own size comes from its width and height attributes (pt, mm, cm and in are converted at 96 px per inch), otherwise from its viewBox, otherwise the 300 × 150 px default browsers use. The converter writes the new size into the SVG, adds a viewBox when there is none so the drawing scales instead of being cropped, renders it with the browser's SVG engine and paints it onto the background colour.
Example
An icon with viewBox="0 0 24 24" and no width or height is 24 × 24 px. With the output width set to 512 it is rendered at 512 × 512 px. A logo declared as width="2in" height="1in" is 192 × 96 px at 1× and 384 × 192 px at 2×.
Frequently asked questions
Why are fonts or images missing from the JPG?
When an SVG is drawn as an image, browsers block everything it loads from elsewhere: linked images, web fonts and external CSS. Text in fonts installed on your device still renders. Convert text to paths or embed images as data URIs before converting.
Can I keep a transparent background?
Not in JPG, which has no alpha channel. Use SVG to PNG instead.
How large can the JPG be?
Up to 16,384 px per side and 100 megapixels on desktop browsers. iPhones and iPads limit a canvas to about 16.7 megapixels, so keep big exports under roughly 4,000 × 4,000 px there.
Is my SVG uploaded?
No. The browser parses, renders and encodes it locally.
