App Icon Generator — iOS and Android Asset Package

Generate a ZIP of iOS source PNG, Android adaptive and legacy assets, or a Google Play listing icon from your image, with integration notes.

One PNG, JPEG or WebP; up to 20 MiB and 32 megapixels. Animated images use the decoded still frame.

Prepare platform-specific icon assets from one local image and download a ZIP with integration instructions. Choose an iOS/iPadOS flat source, Android adaptive and legacy launcher resources, a Google Play listing image, or all three. The package contains artwork and resource files; building and testing the app still happens in your platform tools.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose a PNG, JPEG or WebP source; a transparent, tightly cropped logo works best for adaptive layers.
  2. Select the package and a six-digit opaque background color.
  3. Choose fit or center crop and padding for flat images.
  4. Generate the ZIP, read its README and inspect the assets in Xcode or Android Studio.

Formula

Android raster side = density factor × logical side; legacy side = 48dp, adaptive layer side = 108dp

Android factors are 1, 1.5, 2, 3 and 4. Adaptive foreground always fits the complete source into the central 66dp box with transparent surroundings. Flat iOS and Play images use the selected fitting settings.

Example

The Android package creates 10 PNGs: five legacy sides 48, 72, 96, 144, 192, and five foreground sides 108, 162, 216, 324, 432. Two XML resources and a README bring the total to 13 files, excluding ZIP directory entries.

Frequently asked questions

Does the iOS package create Liquid Glass layers?

No. It provides one 1024px opaque RGB PNG for the current Single Size, Any Appearance workflow. Apple supports nonlayered images, but Icon Composer gives control over individual layers and appearances.

Is the Play image an Android launcher icon?

No. It is a separate 512px, 32-bit PNG listing asset, checked against the 1024 KiB limit. Google Play applies its own rounded mask and shadow.

What must I configure after downloading?

Follow the README, merge resources carefully and set the app icon reference. Android output has no monochrome layer; iOS has no custom dark or tinted design. Test the actual device and store previews.
