Model monthly Twitch earnings from paid and Tier 1 gifted subscriptions, Prime redemptions, Bits used to Cheer, and video ads. Subscription and ad splits apply to eligible net revenue, so the receipts and rate inputs matter as much as the percentage. Plus Points are shown separately: one month of points does not establish qualification or automatically change your selected share.

How to use this tool

  1. Select the share in your agreement and the Plus thresholds applicable to your location.
  2. Enter recurring subs by tier, Tier 1 gifts, prices and receipts remaining after deductions. Add Prime counts and the audience-weighted published payout.
  3. Enter Bits, viewers, streaming hours, ad load, average ad duration and the share of viewers receiving filled ads.
  4. Enter the pre-split net ad revenue per 1,000 impressions and your ad share; compare these assumptions with Analytics.

Formula

Subscription earnings = [(Tier 1 + Gifts) × P1 + Tier 2 × P2 + Tier 3 × P3] × Receipts remaining × Share

Ad impressions = Viewers × Hours × Ad minutes × 60 ÷ Ad seconds × Seeing ads

Ads = Impressions ÷ 1,000 × Pre-split net CPM × Ad share

Percentages are decimals in these formulas. The model uses average subscription prices and the same deduction percentage across tiers. Ads assume the entered duration and fill; display ads are excluded. The yearly figure repeats one month twelve times. Prime is separate from the paid-sub split.

Example

With 100 Tier 1 subscriptions, 5 Tier 2 and 3 Tier 3 at $5.99/$9.99/$24.99, zero deductions and a 50% share, subscription earnings are $361.96. Thirty Prime redemptions at $2.25 add $67.50, and 5,000 Bits add $50. The default ad assumptions give 13,440 impressions and $51.74 of ad earnings, totaling $531.20. With 80 recurring Tier 1 subs, the paid recurring tiers produce 108 Plus Points.

Frequently asked questions

How do Plus Points work?

Recurring paid Tier 1/2/3 subscriptions give 1/2/6 points respectively; gifts and Prime give none. Standard thresholds are 100/300, while eligible LATAM locations use 50/200. Qualification requires three consecutive months and confirmation in your dashboard.

Is the Prime payout fixed?

Twitch publishes a fixed payout by viewer country. The default $2.25 reflects the US entry in the October 2025 guide, not a worldwide rate. Check the current table and weight it for your audience.

What does the ad estimate assume?

The entered pre-split rate is a net-revenue estimate, not advertiser gross spend. Three ad minutes per hour through Ads Manager can unlock 55%; verify your agreement and actual delivery. Each 1,000 Bits used to Cheer adds $10 separately.
