Roblox DevEx Payout Calculator
Estimate a Roblox DevEx cash-out: legacy Robux paid first at $0.0035, newer Robux at $0.0038 or $0.0054, with the minimum check and what is left over.
DevEx pays earned Robux at different rates depending on when and how they were earned, and Roblox always cashes out the older, lower-rate Robux first. This calculator splits your balance into those pools, applies the right rate to each and checks the 30,000 Robux minimum, to estimate a payout before eligibility review, taxes and payment fees.
How to use this tool
- Enter the earned Robux you held from before 5 September 2025. These keep the $0.0035 legacy rate.
- Enter the Robux earned since then, and how many of them qualify for the higher $0.0054 rate (0 if unsure).
- Leave "Robux to cash out" empty to cash out everything, or enter a smaller amount of at least 30,000.
- Read the payout and the table showing which pool each Robux came from.
Formula
Payout = legacy used × $0.0035 + standard used × $0.0038 + higher-rate used × $0.0054
Legacy Robux are used first, up to the amount requested. The rest of the request comes from Robux earned since 5 September 2025. Average rate = payout ÷ Robux cashed out.
Example
You hold 10,000 legacy Robux and 50,000 earned since September 2025, none at the higher rate, and cash out all 60,000. The legacy part pays 10,000 × $0.0035 = $35 and the rest pays 50,000 × $0.0038 = $190, so the payout is $225.00, an average of $0.00375 per Robux. Cash out only 30,000 instead and the 10,000 legacy Robux go first, followed by 20,000 newer ones: $35 + $76 = $111.00.
Frequently asked questions
Can I cash out my new-rate Robux first?
No. Roblox requires the legacy-rate balance to be exchanged before Robux at the current rate, and that includes Robux from one-time group payouts.
How often can I request a payout?
You can have one completed DevEx request per calendar month. First-time participants should allow around 10 business days, returning creators about 5, plus the time your bank takes. Weekends and holidays are not processed.
What do I need to be eligible?
At least 30,000 earned Robux, age 13 or older, a verified email address, a DevEx portal account, a W-9 (U.S.) or W-8 (non-U.S.) tax form on file and an account in good standing.
Does spending Robux use up the old balance first?
No. Spending lowers your total balance, but Roblox does not take it from the legacy-rate Robux first, so the legacy amount can stay the same after you spend.
