Genshin Impact Wish Pity Calculator

Genshin Impact's wish odds are not a flat 0.6% lottery. The 5★ rate climbs steeply after the 73rd wish (soft pity), a 5★ is certain by the 90th (hard pity), and on event banners a lost 50/50 makes the next 5★ the featured one. This calculator applies those rules wish by wish to give a model estimate with the wishes you have, and the worst case.

How to use this tool

1. Pick the banner and enter your pity, the number of wishes since your last 5★ on that banner type.
2. Tick the guarantee box if you lost your last 50/50, or if your Epitomized Path Fate Point is full.
3. Enter your Intertwined Fates and Primogems, and how many copies you want (C0 is 1 copy, C6 is 7).
4. Read your chance, the wishes for 50% and 95% odds, and the worst case.

Formula

P(5★ on wish n) = 0.6% for n ≤ 73, then 0.6% + 6% × (n − 73), and 100% at wish 90

Weapon banner: 0.7% up to wish 62, then 7 points more per wish, certain by 80. A weapon 5★ is your chosen one 37.5% of the time (75% featured × 50%); with one Fate Point the next 5★ is. These steps are the community model, which averages 62.3 wishes per 5★ on character banners, matching the official 1.6% consolidated rate.

Example

Starting fresh (pity 0, no guarantee) on a character banner, you reach a 50% chance at wish 80 and 95% at wish 158, and the absolute worst case is 180 wishes: lose the 50/50 at hard pity, then hit hard pity again. Going for C6, seven copies, takes 654 wishes for even odds and up to 1,260 in the worst case.
