Google Review QR Code Generator
Turn a Google Place ID or review link into a QR code that opens the review form, plus a printable 1200 × 1700 px table card.
Most happy customers never leave a review because finding the review box takes too many taps. A QR code on the counter, a receipt or a table card takes them straight to the "write a review" form for your business on Google. Enter your Place ID or paste the review link from your Business Profile, and this tool builds the link, draws the code, checks that it scans, and lays out a printable card. Everything runs in your browser.
How to use this tool
- Find your Place ID with Google's Place ID Finder (search your business name on the map), or copy the "Ask for reviews" link from your Google Business Profile.
- Paste it into the first box and type your business name for the card.
- Pick the size, colours and format, and keep the card option on if you want a ready-to-print PNG.
- Scan the result with your own phone before printing.
Formula
https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=PLACE_ID
A Place ID is a string of 20 or more letters, digits, hyphens and underscores, usually starting with ChIJ. Links from g.page/…/review, search.google.com/local/writereview and maps.app.goo.gl are used exactly as pasted. The tool cannot look up a Place ID from a business name, because that needs Google's paid Maps API.
Example
Google's documentation uses the Place ID ChIJN1t_tDeuEmsRUsoyG83frY4. It becomes https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=ChIJN1t_tDeuEmsRUsoyG83frY4 — 79 bytes, a version 5 code (37 × 37 modules) at level M. The card is 1200 × 1700 px: business name, five stars, the message and a 760 px code.
Frequently asked questions
Is it allowed to ask for Google reviews with a QR code?
Yes — asking is fine. Google's policies forbid paying for reviews, offering discounts in return, or asking only happy customers (review gating), so keep the card neutral.
Why is there no Google logo on the card?
The Google logo is a trademark. The card uses plain stars and text so you can print it without permission questions.
My Place ID link shows the wrong business.
Place IDs are unique to one listing. Search again in the Place ID Finder and make sure you pick the pin with your exact address.
