Fortnite V-Bucks Value Calculator
See what a Fortnite item priced in V-Bucks costs in real money, the cheapest mix of V-Bucks packs to cover it, and each pack's price per 1,000 V-Bucks.
Item shop prices are in V-Bucks, but you pay for V-Bucks in packs of fixed sizes, so "how much is this skin really?" has more than one answer. This calculator converts any V-Bucks price into money at your best and smallest-pack rates, then finds the cheapest combination of packs that covers what you still need after counting the V-Bucks already in your account.
How to use this tool
- Enter the item's price in V-Bucks and any V-Bucks you already have.
- Check the pack list against your store and edit it — one "V-Bucks = price" per line.
- Choose the currency of those prices.
- Read the cheapest purchase, the packs to buy and what will be left over.
Formula
value = item V-Bucks × pack price ÷ pack V-Bucks cheapest = min Σ nᵢ·priceᵢ with Σ nᵢ·V-Bucksᵢ ≥ needed
The first line prices the item at one pack's rate. The second is a small optimisation: the calculator tries every mix of packs (each may be bought several times) and keeps the cheapest one that reaches the V-Bucks you need.
Example
A 1,500 V-Bucks outfit with an empty wallet and the default US list: two 800 packs cost $17.98 and leave 100 V-Bucks, which beats one 2,400 pack at $22.99. At the 12,500 pack rate the outfit is worth about $10.80, and at the 800 pack rate $16.86.
Frequently asked questions
How much is 1,000 V-Bucks in dollars?
Since 19 March 2026 the default US $8.99 pack gives 800 V-Bucks; the 12,500 pack averages about $7.20 per 1,000. Prices vary by country and platform, so edit the list to match your store.
Is the biggest pack always the best deal?
Per V-Buck, usually yes, but only if you will spend the extra. For a single 1,500 V-Bucks item, two 800 packs cost less than a 2,400 pack — the calculator checks every combination.
Why is my price different from the default?
Epic sets prices per currency and region, platform stores may differ, and sales tax may be added at checkout. The defaults are only a starting point — replace them with the prices you see.
Can I enter prices with a comma?
Yes. Both "8.99" and "8,99" are read as eight point ninety-nine, and currency symbols are ignored.
