Currency Converter
Convert amounts between currencies and supported cryptocurrencies using saved exchange-rate snapshots. Select both currencies in one place; prices do not refresh in your browser.
Use one converter for ordinary currencies and the supported cryptocurrency list. The calculation uses exchange data saved when the site was built, so the displayed quote date matters. A result is an indicative conversion of your amount, not an offer to buy, sell or transfer funds.
How to use this tool
- Enter a nonnegative amount without thousands separators.
- Choose the source and destination currencies, including cryptocurrencies where a saved USD price is available.
- Read the converted amount, unit rate and reference-value dates. Use the swap button to reverse the currencies while keeping the entered amount.
Formula
Converted amount = entered amount × source value in USD / destination value in USD
For ordinary currencies, the USD reference value is the saved USD rate divided by that currency’s rate in the same rate table. For a cryptocurrency it is the saved USD price per coin. Cross-currency results therefore use one consistent USD bridge, even if the original crypto response also contains other quote currencies.
Example
With hypothetical reference values of 1 EUR = 1.25 USD and 1 BTC = 50,000 USD, 100 EUR converts to 125 USD or 0.0025 BTC. These numbers illustrate the formula and are not current market prices.
Frequently asked questions
Are these live prices?
No. This page uses saved snapshots and makes no browser requests for updated prices. A missing quote time is shown as unavailable; the page build date is not substituted for a market quote time.
Why does my exchange show a different amount?
Its price, trading pair, spread, commissions, network fees and execution time may differ. Fiat and crypto snapshots may also refer to different times. Check the provider’s actual quote before a transaction.
Why is a currency disabled?
Its required saved price is missing, zero or invalid. Crypto conversion requires a saved USD price for that coin; another quoted currency is not silently substituted. A missing price is never assumed to be zero or one.
Can tiny amounts become zero?
Small values are shown in scientific notation. Inputs or converted amounts outside the supported finite numeric range produce an error. Displayed values use up to 12 significant digits; they do not represent settlement precision.
